Jim lynch

Jim joined the club in the late 1980s having started as a teacher in nearby St Kevins. A keen musician, he coached multiple teams (including several of his various sons’ juvenile teams and the mens team) and joined the executive in various roles before becoming chairperson in the early 2000s

Jim with his wife Lil by his side worked countless hours for the club on and off the pitch, and along with Bernie was instrumental in keeping the club alive in the 2000s.

He also carried out the task of distributing All Ireland tickets for over 20 years with Bernie with some aplomb, a complex and difficult task but there were never any complaints!

Jim was made Honorary President of the club in 2018 and an adult mens sevens tournament plays every few years for the Jim Lynch Shield in his honour.
